Miraculous Bathtub Saves 75-Year-Old Woman & Son While Flying Through Tornado: Search For Missing Child Continues

Deadly storms have hit Southern US states on Saturday with devastating consequences. Amid the damage and the chaos that ensued in the aftermath, a miracle survival situation happened for a 75 year-old-woman and her son.

In a report by Statesman, Charlesletta Williams and her son Rickey survived a tornado with the help of a bathtub. Both took refuge in the tub before the tornado tore through their neighborhood located in Smithland, Texas.

In an interview with Charlesletta, she remembers that her whole house started shaking. Afterward, she told reporters that the roof came off and both were lifted in the air along with the tornado.

Miraculously, the mother and son duo survived. She stated that she felt as if someone placed them on the ground. Charlesletta's daughter, Mary Taylor believes that a higher power was responsible for their survival.

In other news, authorities are still searching for a missing two-year-old child in Southern Georgia in the aftermath of the deadly Tornadoes. The weather phenomenon has already claimed 20 lives in the Southern US states.

The mother of the child identified as Detrez Green told reporters that he slipped away from her in the eve of the storm. The child reportedly went toward the kitchen which was completely destroyed after a tree crashed in.

Officers have extensively conducted an all night search through thick woods and storm-damaged areas on Tuesday. Police Captain Thomas Jackson of Doughtery County Police told reporters that cadaver and live search dogs have been deployed to help with the search. So far there are no signs of the 2-year-old child.

The enormous storm system that crossed US Southern States over the weekend started up more than 24 tornadoes. It completely destroyed homes and left other destruction scattered around the communities. 20 people have been confirmed to have died in the latest weather disruption.
