Apple fans are expecting that the iPad Mini 5 will release in a few months. It is said to be packed with new features that many will look forward to.

Release period

Neurogadget noted that the upgraded device could come out in March as rumors suggest. Many are hoping that the device would be a lot slimmer, but will be offered for the same price. A flexible screen and Smart Connector may also come with the iPad Mini 5.

The next Apple tablet will follow the iPad Mini 4 which came out two years ago. TechRadar added that Apple could also offer a new name to the iPad Mini 5, but there is still no official word from the tech giant.

Since the iPad Pro 9.7 could also be introduced this coming March, it is possible that Apple could also unveil the iPad Mini 5 alongside the new Pro. The timeline is also fit since the iPad Mini 4 has been released almost a year ago.

However, rumors are also starting to suggest that due to the iPad Mini 5's release delay, Apple could eventually discontinue the Mini line. Should these rumors be true, it could be a sad event for users who enjoy the rising popularity of big screens like the iPhone 7 Plus.

Specs and features

It was highlighted in a PC Advisor report that the iPad Mini 5 may have a 3D Touch technology which allows users to do various tasks on their device. The same technology was introduced in the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

In addition, an IP68 protection could make the iPad Mini 5 resistant to water. It would already be similar to the iPhone 7 which was released with an IP68 certification.

Many are already waiting for the release of the iPad Mini 5 since it promises users a lot of features. What do you expect from the next iPad Mini installment?
