Nokia 5, Like Nokia 6, Could Sport Similar Specs; All Eyes On MWC 2017 For Launch, Including Nokia P1
Ritwik RoyNokia 5 may be launched at the Mobile World Congress 2017 and it could sport a 5.2-inch screen and 2GB RAM. A Weibo leak has offered a sneak peek into the specs and configuration of the device. The Nokia 5 is an entry-level smartphone and it was also spotted on the benchmarking site GeekBench. It carried the name "Nokia Heart." It is expected to be a cheaper variant of the Nokia 6 smartphone. The Nokia 5 is said to have a 720p display.
According to AndroidPure, while the Nokia 6 is a mid-range smartphone sporting a Snapdragon 430 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, X6 LTE modem and will run on the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, the Nokia 5 device will also sport similar specs. It will also be powered by a Snapdragon 430 chipset, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It will also run on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS. In terms of camera specs, the Nokia 5 is expected to have a 12MP primary camera and 7MP front camera.
Both the Nokia 5 cameras may support full HD video recording with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. According to Tech Times, Nokia, 5, the cheaper Nokia 6 version, could aid Nokia and HMD Global's strategy of providing affordable smartphones to those looking for cheaper smartphones. Nokia is trying to become a major player in the smartphone category with the newly-released Nokia 6 in China. The handset sold out in just a minute.
Samsung also expects the Nokia 5 to be sold out like the Nokia 6. Moreover, the Nokia P1 may also debut at the MWC 2017 and it will be a flagship phone of Nokia, sporting a Snapdragon 835 chipset, 3,500 mAh battery and a 6GB RAM. Quick Charge tech and fingerprint scanner are also expected to be incorporated into the device. Nokia is holding an event on Feb. 26 at the MWC 2017.
