Google Pixel XL Tips and Tricks: How to Use Gesture-Based Shortcuts, Assign Customized 'Moves'
Nens MitchellLast year, smartphone fans were awed with the release of the Google Pixel and Pixel XL, two sleek-looking devices which had great features to offer users. Many are still curious about how a lot of features work with these phone releases.
Gesture shortcuts
For one, users have discovered that they can do a lot of things with the phone if they just know how to maximize its uses. New Atlas noted that included in the tips and tricks for the Google Pixel and Pixel XL are the gesture-based shortcuts.
Pixel owners can simply control the gesture or Moves setting on their phones by going to Settings then choosing the Moves option. Among the commonly used gestures is the power button double tap which opens the camera, while twisting your wrist will flip the camera lens that the phone will use.
Other useful gestures also include swiping the screen to see notifications and lifting the device to see updates or important reminders on Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL. Users can also double tap their phones to check for notifications.
Customized gestures
To make the gesture feature more useful, Cheat Sheet suggested that users can install an application called Fingerprint Gestures on their phones. Google Pixel and Pixel XL owners can then customize the actions they can assign on their phone to better remember them.
Other features
Apart from these useful features, New Atlas also added that Google Pixel and Pixel XL owners also like that they can multitask using their phones. One can open two applications at the same time with these features.
Also, the handsets have a great battery saving mode with the phone limiting the applications that one can use once battery life is already critical. This is very useful for people who still need to make important messages before their devices drain.
