Nowhereelse.fr recently posted more supplier image leaks of iPhone 5 parts. A few days ago, the site site shared leaked images of the iPhone 5 SIM tray. Now it has published images originally posted to a Chinese forum called Weiphone, which claim to show the iPhone 5's logic board. The same Weiphone user also posted the first logic board images of the iPhone 4S, so these newest images seem to have plenty of credibility.
The images show both the front and back of the logic board, which houses the majority of the iPhone's infrastructure, including its processor and chips. As nowhereelse.fr has shown in this animated gif, the holes of the logic board line up perfectly with the holes of previously leaked images of the iPhone 5's casing.
Unfortunately, not much information can be gleaned from the logic board images, as the internal architecture is mostly shielded from view, unlike the leaked images of the iPhone 4S's logic board. Those images revealed that the iPhone 4S would likely use the same A5 processor found in the iPad 2, as opposed to the A4 processor used in the iPhone 4.
With image leaks coming faster and faster, some skeptics have suggested that the leaks are actually being controlled by Apple to sidetrack eager users, so the company can hit them with shock and awe when the actual iPhone 5 information is released. Apple CEO Tim Cook's statement that the already-secretive company would "double down on secrecy" has also caused some to question the numerous leaks.
However, despite the same talk of fake leaks during the iPhone 4 and 4S launches, most of those leaks actually turned out to be legitimate. A product surrounded by as much hype as the iPhone 5 is likely to entice people to risk their jobs to leak information to the public, which appears to be happening yet again.
Are you surprised by the increasing number of leaks, or is this to be expected with the iPhone 5 clearly now in the production phase? Could some of these leaks still be fakes or prototypes? Leak us your thoughts in the comments.
