The watchOS 3 introduced many interesting features to the Apple Watch like the Theater Mode and SiriKit for Apple Watch, thus the watchOS 4 is expected to come up with even more innovative ideas. So, looking ahead, what could the next watchOS offer when it finally reached the market?
HealthKit
Bloomberg reported that Apple is also working on new HealthKit apps for the Apple Watch. As stated, one of health care that is being worked on is the sleep tracker tool and this is likely to be added on watchOS 4.
"I will be working on building a platform, a set of application program interfaces," Apple Health senior engineer Mohan Randhava said. "A simple product that will bring what we believe will be a disruptive consumer health-care application to the U.S. for the first time."

The watchOS 3 only have a few options in the watch face and having more selections for the watchOS 4 will be a hit to users. It will also be nice the faces are customizable.
Better Synchronization
The watchOS 4 may feature new snchronization system for all Apple devices such as the iPad, iPhone and iMac. This is a good feature because it will make the smartwatch more useable.
Release Date
WatchOS 4 may arrive in June 2017 and this is the prediction of most tech observers. They pointed out that Apple values tradition and the company always stick to its annual release cycle.
Further, iOS Updates noted that Apple generally release its new version of macOS, iOS and watchOS at the WWDC events. So, the release of watchOS 4 around this time is very possible.
