Microsoft Surface Pro 5: Launch Highly Anticipated In Spring With Windows 10 Creators Update, Modified Surface Pen Capable Of Wireless Charging
Pia MerciThe year 2017 is apparently going to be a big one for Microsoft as Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is one of the most highly-anticipated devices of 2017. It's quite an exciting year for Microsoft fans as number of products from the tech giant are expected to be launched this year that include the Surface Phone. Furthermore, a lot of people are highly anticipating the Microsoft Windows 10 Creators Update, which will apparently bring in some great features.
New reports have offered new takes regarding the specs and features of Microsoft Surface Pro 5. According to Tech Times, people have been expecting great things from the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 generally because Microsoft hasn't had any upgrade to the Surface Pro 4 device.
In addition, there are apparently great improvements in the upcoming device such as the upgraded Touch Screen panel that will be operating more fluidly and accurately with both hands and the Surface Pen. It will also possibly have a bump to a 4K resolution.
The release date for the Surface Pro 5 will most likely be in spring 2017, which will apparently be alongside the release of the Windows 10 Creators Update. This strategic move will reportedly result to a more balanced release schedule for Microsoft as they are more likely expected to release the Surface Book updates in fall.
Although it is still uncertain whether Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will have the upgraded or modified Surface Pen, Microsoft has reportedly applied for a new patent a year ago wherein the Surface Pen will apparently be made wirelessly rechargeable.
Additionally, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will possibly have Intel Kaby Lake architecture as its processors. This is pretty much so given that these processors have now been made available and could apparently provide considerable speed and graphics improvement.
More importantly, the said Kaby Lake chipsets will be able to help overcome Surface Pro's biggest shortcoming which is its battery. The Surface Pro 5 may possibly keep only one USB 3.0 port alongside the Type-Cs. Apple's 12-inch MacBook and MacBook Pro have been previously criticized for only using the USB Type-C Ports, according to Forbes.
