Recently, "World of Final Fantasy" added Sora from "Kingdom Hearts" as a Champion Summon DLC in the game. Now, Square Enix has announced that "World of Final Fantasy" will add Balthier from "Final Fantasy XII" as a Champion Summon via free downloadable content. The announcement was made at the "Final Fantasy" 30th Anniversary opening ceremony.
Square Enix posted on the game's official Twitter account regarding Balthier as the Champion summon DLC for "World of Final Fantasy." However, a specific release date was not announced, as stated in the report from Siliconera. Fans are eagerly waiting to get firsthand experience of the DLC. Here is the Twitter post from Square Enix below in Japanese that talks about the DLC included with the Patch 1.03:
For those who do not know anything about Balthier, the character is from the "Final Fantasy XII" franchise. He was born in 684 Old Valendian and "Balthier" is not his real name. His real name is Ffamran mied Bunansa and he is the third son of Cidolfus Demen Bunansa. He is a sky pirate who globetrots Ivalice on his airship, the Strahl, with his partner Fran. More information about Balthier can be found on Wikia.
As Square Enix is frequently releasing DLCs for the game, players are expecting more DLCs to get introduced in the future that will bring the spirit of RPG games with returning characters from older "Final Fantasy" series. "World of Final Fantasy" is available now on the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita consoles.
