"Digimon World: Next Order," which was released for the PlayStation Vita in Japan on March 17 last year, was recently released internationally for the PlayStation 4. The Japanese version of the game, called "Digimon World: Next Order International Edition," is slated for a February 2017 release.

According to Siliconera, Bandai Namco Entertainment also revealed a new trailer for "Digimon World: Next Order" that showcased the game's Extra Cross Evolution (ExEvolution) and other features. In the game, the Brain Hack program appears to be "influencing Machinedramon" and Omega's power is taking over the world. The game's main characters are a boy called Takuto and a girl called Shiki, who "end up coming to the digital world." The two must work together with "Agumon, Gabumon, Biyomon, and Palmon" to save it."

Compared to other titles in the franchise, for "Digimon World: Next Order" is a more traditional game and players will have two Digimon partners that they can command in real-time battles. The trailer for the game also showcased ExEvolution, which can occur when players have "enough Order Points and certain conditions are met during battle." Either Takuto or Shiki can "fuse together" with their two Digimon into "a new creature with stronger attacks and abilities."

Players in North America and Europe can now enjoy "Digimon World: Next Order" while gamers in Japan will have to wait until Feb. 26 to get theirs hand on the open world role-playing game from Bandai Namco.

In other news, Kotaku has revealed that "Digimon World: Next Order" will throw players right into the action "within the first 20 minutes" of the game. After choosing to play as either Takuto or Shiki, players reunite with some old friends, but neither can remember their Digimon.

Aside from combat, players must raise Digieggs. Training for your Digiegg includes "skill-sharpening, eating, using the bathroom and resting" to evolve them "to in-training" then "rookie Digimon." Caring for a Digimon is easy: feed it when it is hungry, take them to the restroom if they need to poop, and let them rest once they are tired.
