Bethesda confirmed recently that the PC version of "Fallout 4" would receive a High Resolution Texture Pack. The pack has been available for download on Steam since February 6 with a massive size of 56GB.

Wccftech notes that, last week, Bethesda confirmed that a High Resolution Texture Pack for PC is coming to the popular role-playing game "Fallout 4." However, it did not specify the release date for the said pack.

Bethesda, alongside other developers, has been working hard to make the most out of the extra oomph provided by the PS4 Pro. People would like to see the best out of the new hardware; be it higher resolution, improved frame rate, enhanced textures, or the combination of both. This extra work, however, entails higher storage space, which is what happened in the "Fallout 4" High Resolution Texture Pack.

The pack is a massive 58GB download. This does not even include the size of the base game package itself, which is already 30GB. The higher-detail textures and shinier surfaces are not just ravenous for storage. It requires a powerful PC to transport all those extra details around the screen, according to Bethesda.

The "Fallout 4" High Resolution Texture Pack's recommended system requirements include Windows 7 or 8 or 10 running on 64-bit OS. In addition, the PC must run on Intel Core i7-5820K, which is a hex-core processor with a base 3.3GHz clock speed. It also requires GTX 1080 -- a Pascal-powered Nvidia GTX 1080 with 8GB RAM.

"Fallout 4" is available in all regions on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation. On the other hand, the "Fallout 4" PS4 Pro update, which includes updated textures and a 1440p resolution, is reportedly set to release anytime between February 13 and 19.
