‘FIFA 2018’ Nintendo Switch Version May Still Have Inferior Graphics Compared to XBOX ONE & PS4, Despite Being Custom-Built
Ritwik RoyWhile "FIFA 2018" has been confirmed for Nintendo Switch, it is unknown if it will be based on the old Xbox 360 and PS3 editions. Earlier this year, when EA Sports revealed plans of launching a "FIFA" game, fans were confused if it was the "FIFA 2017" or the upcoming game.
Now, EA's Peter Moore has said that that the new "FIFA" would be custom-built for Nintendo Switch. The "FIFA" development team from Vancouver is working on it already. EA Sports is also gearing up to release the first batch of "FIFA 2017" Winter upgrades.
"Well, as we have said, we are custom-building a FIFA version for the Nintendo Switch. It will be FIFA 18, and it will obviously be later this year when FIFA 18 comes out ... we are not far away from its launch and in fact, here in Paris, I was very impressed to see FNAC stores with Nintendo Switch in the windows," Moore told Game Reactor.
Meanwhile, the "FIFA 2017" Winter Upgrades could launch in four separate updates. One is expected on Friday, followed by three additional updates on Feb. 17, Feb. 24 and March 3, as pointed out by FIFA U Team. Consistent and in-form players will receive Winter Upgrade boosts that will impact their stats. Premier League players in line for Winter Upgrades include Dele Alli, Jermaine Defoe and Diego Costa. The Nintendo Switch console is expected to release on March 3 and its games list is increasing as more and more games are being added, including "FIFA 2018."
Nintendo is aggressively looking for third-party support for their upcoming handheld console. It has already secured 70+ developers who will develop games for the portable console. When compared to Xbox One and PS4, the "FIFA 2018" Nintendo Switch version may still have inferior graphics though the version won't be a last-generation port of the game.
