'Rick and Morty Season 3 Premiere Date: Dan Harmon Hints on Release Date

Rommel

"Rick and Morty" co-creator and writer, Dan Harmon, has disclosed while in attendance at the Magic City Comic Con event that Season 3 of the hit animated series is set to be released in 2016. However, the year ended with no such season having been released to the public.

"Rick and Morty" Release Date is definitely something fans are anticipating for. The failure to release the show's season 3 last year prompted fans to demand and petition the people behind the popular animated series to revive it and set it for release to the public. This hysteria yielded, however, to a flurry of fake news and false release dates--to the disappointment and frustration of the fans.

According to recent reports from Smart Stock News, however, fires of frustrations are starting to be quelled as the show's producer and writer hinted that there is going to be a release date set to be revealed sometime this year. In a tweet, Dan Harmon is quoted as saying: 'What did Mr. Poopy Butthole predict at the end of season two? The release of season three has never really been a mystery.'

It will be recalled that in the last episode of the show's second season, the zany character asked viewers to 'tune into Rick and Morty Season 3 in, like, a year and a half...or longer.' This episode aired on October 04, 2015. If the math were to be followed, the third season of the franchise might be released in April of this year.

As reported by Cinema Blend, with this latest revelation, hopes of fans for a return of the series have been renewed and their excitement and anticipation for its upcoming season. While a specific and definitive date has not been released, the disclosure is given by Harmon to the fans somehow seals it with certainty and assurance. For now, fans and viewers have all the time to wait for the release date, hoping that it will be announced soon.
