"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" is one series people would definitely love, especially if the lead actor is Nathan Fillion, who will be playing the character of an actor who turned into a detective.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" is surely putting Nathan Fillion at the limelight or maybe it is him who is putting himself on the stage. The man who once played a mystery novelist and eventually became a crime solver on "Castle" will now be playing the role of an actor. The twist is he thinks he has the skills to become a good detective, as what he plays on TV.

According to EW report, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine has a plot similar to "Grinder" with Fillion popping up on the Fox cop comedy, playing the role of Mark Devereaux. Devereaux is the star of a TV show entitled, "Serve & Protect" which is pretty much like "Law & Order."

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" tackles the inquisitive mind of Mark Devereaux who joins Jake, played by Andy Samberg, and Rosa, played by Stephanie Beatriz, when they investigated a crime which happened on the set of "Serve & Protect." Mark assisted the detectives banking on the things he learned from playing his role as a detective for ten years.

Aside from Devereaux, another interesting character is Gary Lurmax who is the executive producer of "Serve & Protect" who drew in Jake to pursue his career in showbiz. Ex-Ally McBeal and Once Upon a Time actor Greg Germann plays the character of Lurmax. This series' fall finale ended on a high note as a city bus knocked Chelsea Peretti's character, Gina.

Meanwhile, TVLine reports that Nathan Fillion will guest star in another comedy series, "Modern Family" as weatherman Rainier Shine, who is the love interest of Claire in the said TV series. "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" will be returning for its fourth season on April 11th with an episode featuring both Fillion and Germann.
