'Little Nightmares' Tiny Horror Game Comes To The Big Stage; Playable At PC Gamer Weekender Event
Dannel Picaccio Camille Perez Lozano"Little Nightmares" may be one of the tiniest games to come this year, but it certainly is no push over as many are already looking to getting their hands on it. The game is now confirmed to appear at this year's PC Gamer Weekender event.
According to Games Radar, the event will take place from February 18 to 19 at London's Olympia, making it a rather big gaming extravaganza to look out for. One of the entries confirmed is Tarsier Studios and Bandai Namco Entertainment's "Little Nightmares," whose title may give away the entirety of its concept immediately. However, that does not make it less spectacular.
Concept-wise, "Little Nightmares" is a horror game that seemingly does not resemble any other title in the genre as of late. Labelled as a "dark, whimsical tale" where players must help Six escape the Maw, the game brings about dreadfully eerie settings for a pint-sized hero in deep need to conquer fear. Lurking in every corner is the possibility of other unknown entities that could chase out the hero -- all hidden in complete darkness.
Not much information has been disclosed for "Little Nightmares" just yet, except that the Swedish creator Tarsier Studios is recognized for creating out-of-the-box games. Titles within the studios credentials include "Statik," a virtual-reality puzzle-mystery title that wishes to unveil the deeper potential of the human mind.
The fighting game genre, "Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic," is the company's official entry, while the miniature characters started emerging through their games "Tearaway Unfolded" and "LittleBigPlanet PS Vita." "Little Nightmares" is originally slated for release on April 28, 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
