The second iteration of the original "Injustice" game from DC has been getting a number of new characters and the latest character added to this list is Black Canary. She is a screaming blonde dynamo, who was slated to be out on February 7, 2017. However, the character was not released on the scheduled date.

Nether Realm Reschedules Release Of New Character in 'Injustice 2'

Recent reports reveal that Black Canary will be released only next week. According to the Twitter post by NetherRealm Studios, the makers of "Injustice 2", the character will be released on February 13, 2017, as reported by Gamerant.

Also, the "Injustice 2" website now shows the rescheduled release date of Feb. 13 instead of the older date, Feb 7. However, there has not been any information on any of the latest addition to the "Injustice 2" character list.

While it is obvious who the new character is going to be, it is indeed worth the wait for such a power packed dynamo. The latest "Injustice 2" gameplay video trailer shows Black Canary equaling against Batman, Superman, Blue Beetle, and Deadshot. The 13-minute video from NetherRealms Studio walks fans through the gameplay of the newly added character. It appears that Black Canary is a powerful and promising character, as reported by Mxdwn.

The "Injustice 2" Story

"Injustice 2" will be a sequel to the "Injustice: Gods among Us". Five years have passed since the fall of the tyrant High counselor, Superman. Batman and his crew are working hard to bring the society together and repair the damages caused by Superman. The remaining followers of the Superman regime are still seeking to restore the rule. Hence, they are involved in making a shady new plan to dominate the world and end anyone who came on their way. Batman has to find a way to gather his force of superheroes and save the society.

Release Date

"Injustice 2" will indeed be an interesting game with added powerful characters like Black Canary. The game is expected to be out on May 16 for PS4 and XBO after the beta test.
