'Halo Wars 2' Posts Strategic Clip; PC Users Will Have to Wait [Watch]
Dannel Picaccio Camille Perez Lozano"Halo Wars 2," the much-anticipated continuity to the real-time strategy game spin-off title, was said to longer have a physical release for the PC in the United States. 343 Industries confirmed the decision, with a new interesting trailer to go with it.
According to a recent Twitter post, "Halo Wars 2" showcased a series of videos known as the "Way of the Wits," with one posted on their official account entitled "The Sale." This depicted the Jiralhanae Chieftain doing car deals for a certain price, the context leaning towards playing strategically and "knowing your enemy."
While this may be a great feature for "Halo Wars 2," the lack of the physical release for the PC may have upset fans alike, especially after the announcement made by Halo Waypoint. Simply put, the company explained how there is a change in their plans, as per 343 Community Manager Brian Jarrard. He claimed that their retail plans have "shifted" and Microsoft decided to put time in releasing for Europe instead.
"THQ Nordic is a great partner and they are working with us to ensure this transition remains smooth for our customers ... We apologize to any customers affected by the change in our retail plans, and thank everyone for the continued support as we look forward to the release of Halo Wars 2," Jerrard claims.
Fans shouldn't fret, as "Halo Wars 2" digital version for the PC will release all over the globe on February 21, joining the Xbox One. It can be recalled that the physical versions of the standard and ultimate editions of "Halo Wars 2" for the PC were confirmed for the United States and Europe last January, care of 343 Industries, THQ Nordic and Microsoft Studios respectively, IGN reports. "Halo Wars 2" strays off the first-person theme of the original "Halo" franchise, being an interactive first-person shooter.
