‘The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild’ Balances Story & Adventure; Offers A Huge Range Of Endings [VIDEO]
Pia MerciCapturing the feeling of an adventure while balancing story elements is the main objective of Nintendo's forthcoming game, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." More so, Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo's creative fellow and acclaimed game designer, has reportedly offered his take on the importance of story in games and, more particularly, the upcoming "Zelda: Breath of the Wild".
Miyamoto explained the importance of plot in video games during his interview with Time. He claimed that Eiji Aonuma, the game's producer, came up with an interesting title where players are not constrained to a plot, but would rather feel that they are set sailing on an adventure. Additionally, he said that Aonuma managed to find a balance between open-world exploration and keeping an active storyline.
In accordance with this, Miyamoto acknowledges that having a story in any kind of game is essential. He further stated that it is important for the plot to leave a lasting impression on players once they finish. Even so, he was certain that it is challenging to cut down playtime when it comes to setting up and narrating a story.
Additionally, Miyamoto said that players should be able to experience and somewhat "live in" the plot. It is said that this is something that the "Zelda" series has been working on over the years, according to My Nintendo News.
Particularly for the latest installment, fans will have to exhume the narrative out. It is for them to make out the major hidden tale. Moreover, he mentioned how "Breath of the Wild" still retains the series' original formula while simultaneously, in a sense, making it much more interactive.
It is worth noting that the upcoming "The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild" is expected to boast different routes and approaches, which are said to give players the freedom to customize their playing style. Miyamoto added that the story of the game depends on whatever conclusion each player reaches. If that is so, then there is definitely a huge range of endings in the upcoming title.
