'Crash Bandicoot' PS4 Release Date Confirmed; Activision Reveals Feature, Price & More Details
Louise Bonquin"Crash Bandicoot" has been confirmed to arrive to PS4 on June 30. Activision made the announcement last week and the remastered version of the popular 90's classic game collection is called the "N. Sane Trilogy."
Via a press release, Jennifer Oneal, studio head for Vicarious Visions, revealed the return of the the game by saying, "Crash Bandicoot is one of the most iconic video game characters ever made. He's back and better than ever in the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy."
As a treat to fans, "Crash Bandicoot" N. Sane Trilogy was also priced at low rate of just $39.99 or around £34.99 in the U.K. Usually, new games are introduced at a price starting at $60 so this price tag is a lot cheaper in comparison.
Now, gamers should not be confused whether the N. Sane Trilogy is a remaster or a remake. As explained by game director Dan Tanguay on PlayStation Blog, it is an AAA remaster. "We're giving this the love and attention to detail that we pay to all of our AAA games" he said. "We're building it using the original level geometry so that it plays as close to the original as possible.
This remastered trilogy edition will have three games including the "Crash Bandicoot," "Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back" and "Crash Bandicoot: Warped." For special features, the game will offer updated lighting effects and graphics, plus it will come with a support for PS4 Pro console.
Meanwhile, Express Online spoke with the team that made the "Crash Bandicoot" Remastered version possible and the publication asked if there would be more editions to come in the future. Although the possibility of creating more sequels will surely depend on N. Sane Trilogy's success, Vicarious Visions wants to do it if they can.
Lastly, the team representative stated that they are also a fan of the game and would like to see many more "Crash Bandicoot" games as much as other fans do. In fact, the rep added that they also find it really cool that the game is making a comeback today.
