Rockstar Games' long-rumored western action-adventure video game, "Red Dead Redemption 2" has been subject to a slew of rumors and leaks surrounding the game's release date, the protagonist and other details.

The latest buzz around "RDR 2" hints at Red Harlow's imminent arrival. A Reddit user named DrewdieDabs1 shared a screenshot from the recently released "Red Dead Redemption 2" cover art, indicating Red Harlow could make an appearance in the next installment of the "Red Dead" series.

If this theory comes to fruition, Red Harlow will be one of the seven characters teased in the new poster image for "RDR 2." However, the proof itself is not spared from flaws and moreover, the game developer has neither confirmed nor denied these speculations until now as well.

If rumors about Red Harlow's arrival are anything to go by, "Red Dead Redemption 2" could actually be a prequel, RDR2.com reported. If he shows up as the lead character in the new game, then he will be quite older than the episodes of "Red Dead Revolver." It can be recalled that Harlow made an appearance in the latter, which makes him a pivotal character in the events of the game's lore.

Regrettably, this implies Red's story might wrap up with the game. This is because there will have to be a crucial event that will pave the way for the main protagonist. After all, Red has to age considerably through the course of the game.

It's worth noting that John Marston, the lead character of "Red Dead Redemption" has to be younger compared to Red Harlow. If the game is indeed a prequel, it's highly likely that Rockstar Games will put them together.

More details are likely to surface online ahead of the game's release date. Stay tuned in here for more "Red Dead Redemption 2" news and updates!
