'Sword Art Online' Asuna Interacts with Players on FOVE VR Headset; Here's What We Know
Dannel Picaccio Camille Perez Lozano"Sword Art Online" revealed another commendable feature for its fans. This time, with the participation of breakthrough hardware. Not only does the Japanese animated marvel aim to make a more pleasant visual experience, but an interactive one, as well.
According to a recent YouTube post, voice actress Haruka Tomatsu "Sword Art Online" will welcome one its lead characters, Asuna, to the technology of the FOVE O Virtual Reality Headset. The most intriguing part about the said device is the promise of eye contact action-reaction, wherein the way that a player moves his or her eyes around will determine the next course of action within the virtual reality realm.
The "Sword Art Online" character will serve as a tour guide for the player, showing the confines of the location. Wherever the player looks, there will be a constant reaction from both Asuna and the environment. For example, if a player ignores Asuna both deliberately and accidentally, she will be upset. In the same manner, if a player even makes the mistake of looking at her chest or funnily, she will also react accordingly.
Asuna will feel the comfort of her company while conversing. At most times it will be Asuna to start the conversation. In a nutshell, the character will know if the player is looking at her and where they are looking. The FOVE O Virtual Reality headset was made possible by a Kickstarter campaign that has become one of the successful hardware Kickstarters to date. Many fans have wanted the idea of having "Sword Art Online" compatible for the hardware. Now that it's been made possible, control and connection in the VR world is a reality.
"Sword Art Online" is slated to have a second full-length animated feature film soon, titled "Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale." The franchise has been known all over the globe as a dramatically engaging massive multiplayer online role-playing game, which continues to dazzle fans all over the globe.
