‘Pokémon GO,’ ‘Pokémon Sun and Moon’ Players Are Up For A Treat With Line App’s New Sticker
Arianne GiftJust in time with "Pokémon GO's" Gen 2 Update, The Pokémon Company has launched a new set of Pokémon stickers on the Line Store. On Line right now, the cross-platform instant messaging app, is a sticker set called Team Rascal Pikachu.
On Thursday, Feb. 23, The Pokémon Company added "Team Rascal Pikachu" with the help of Illustrator MOGU on the Line Store. According to the sticker set's official description, it consists of "cute and feisty" stickers of Pikachu and other pocket monsters from different regions, which players of "Pokémon GO" will truly love.
Priced at a convenient $1.99, the sticker set already has 40 hand-drawn caricatures of some Pokémon. One of the stickers in the set is that of Chansey, comforting a rather sad Pikachu with the words "There, there" above them. Another one is Koffing belching it toxic gasses and is made to look as though it is erratically shaking to match the "head explodes" text above it.
The Pokémon Company ensured that even players of "Pokémon Sun and Moon" would be delighted with the new sticker set as well. Apparently, aside from the Gen 1 and Gen 2 Pokémon, some creatures from the Alola Region also star in their own stickers. Starters Litten, Rowlet and Popplio each star in their own sticker. Sad Pokémon Mimikyu, Bewear and Alolan Exeggutor are also present in the new sticker set. You can view the complete set here.
This isn't the first sticker set of Pokémon that made it to Line's store. The Pokémon Company has released other sets in the past. There is even a special Pokémon Thank You sticker set launched last year with the help of "Pokémon Sun and Moon" developer Junichi Masuda. The sticker set was released in an effort to raise funds for the Chance for Children charity that focused on helping Japanese kids affected by natural disasters, as first reported by Mashable. Line is free and available for download in Android, iOS, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Firefox and the Nokia Asha OSes devices.
