‘Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’ Second Big Expansion Now Officially Available Alongside A Launch Trailer [VIDEO]
Pia MerciThe second big expansion of "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided," titled "A Criminal Past," is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The $12-standalone acts as a prequel to the primary "Mankind Divided" campaign.
"A Criminal Past" is tells the story of Adam Jensen's first mission for Task Force 29. In this mission, he is dropped as an undercover into a hostile, high security prison, dubbed as "The Penthouse," according to PC Invasion.
As per the official description of the "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" expansion, Jensen's mission is to track down and retrieve a sensitive information from his fellow agent who has gone missing. Moreover, the description further reads that success in the said mission would help him fight against the terror around the globe. However, Jensen is expected to confront a darker side to his role before the day is finished.
The expansion comes as the second of its kind for "Mankind Divided," which costs US $12 / £9.49 / AU $17.95. The first expansion, titled "System Rift," was launched in September 2016. Just like the first, "A Criminal Past" is reportedly available as a standalone and as a part of a season pass that costs $30. Smaller pieces of its add-on content were launched for free in January this year.
GameSpot details that "Mankind Divided" recently acquired a new spinoff game for release on the PC. The game's Breach Mode is free-to-play in its own right, while a "Mankind Divided" "VR Experience" has also been released.
In other news, reports from the previous month have shown that the franchise was placed on hiatus by Square Enix. The decision was made due to the game's underwhelming sales. That said, players who already own the game's Digital Deluxe edition or Season Pass may access the latest DLC without additional cost.
