Team 17 Reveals ‘Genesis Alpha One’ For PC & Consoles; Partners With Radiation Blue, New Trailer & More [Watch Here]
CJ EstimadaTeam17, an award-winning game developer and international label, recently announced its partnership with independent developer Radiation Blue to publish "Genesis Alpha One." The upcoming game is a groundbreaking mix of rogue-like shooter, base building and survival on console and PC. The gamers' goal is to find new homes for humans, their DNA and save the species from extinction.
About "Genesis Alpha One"
Game Informer writes that "Genesis Alpha One" offers gamers a unique blend of genre in a stunning sci-fi setting. The debut trailer presents players building their bases through isometric interface. They soon discover aliens aboard a newly built station, which means they'll have to take care of these aliens themselves or build limited-use defenses to help them out.
Moreover, "Genesis Alpha One" puts gamers in the shoes of a Genesis starship captain in the depths of space. There they need to build and manage own vessel, farm resources, and fight off alien invaders -- all while exploring the universe. The story goes around the typical crooked corporations and human race ravaged by war and on the edge of extinction.
Team17 And Radiation Blue's Partnership
According to Gaming Central, Germany-based Radiation Blue's creative director Sascha Jungnickel said that when they were kids, they enjoyed playing Team17 games such as "Worms," and "Alien Breed." "These creative and artistic experiences helped support our decisions to become video games creators. Today, with this partnership, things have come full circle which is incredibly exciting," he notes.
"Genesis Alpha One" is Radiation Blue's first release, but its developers have worked on games like "Spec Ops: The Line," "Hitman: Blood Money," "The Settlers," and "Spellforce 3." The company's CEO also shared that Radiation Blue is an exciting new studio made up of incredibly talented individuals, each with great track record in AAA games development. The game will be available on PC and consoles. However, the release date is not yet revealed. Stay tuned for the latest updates.
