ZTE Gigabit Phone News & Updates: Specs & Features Review, Enabling Gigabit Download Speeds; Commercial Launch is yet to be Revealed?
VionaThe Chinese Smartphone manufacturer unveiled its new product on Sunday at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The ZTE Gigabit Phone is powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 processing unit with Snapdragon X16 LTE modem making its download speeds ability of up to 1Gbps
The ZTE's latest prototype device will use a combination of carrier aggregation, 4 X 4 MIMO antenna technology, and 256-QAM modulation to achieve LTE Gigabit download speeds. In addition, the new prototype android handset also uses the Pre5G Giga+ MBB solution which was built by ZTE.
It is said that ZTE Gigabit Phone will be 10 times faster than the first-generation LTE devices. With all of this hardware, users should see download speeds about three times faster on their current network.
ZTE Gigabit Phone has a purpose of improving consumers' lifestyles, providing features such as 360 degrees panoramic virtual reality video, instant cloud storage, entertainment upgrades, and a fast cache of ultra Hi-Fi music and movies. The Chinese Smartphone manufacturer also uses the instant APP trait which removes the need for download or installation of applications.
The same report can be found in zdnet that ZTE Gigabit Phone announcement comes after the tech giant company finished its Kickstarter campaign for the Hawkeye phone which originally called Project CSX. The project is said to comprise the crowd-sourced features from the community.
The mobile manufacturer, so far, hasn't actually released any other specs on the ZTE Gigabit Phone, focusing solely only on the fact that it's a Gigabit android handset. There's no official announcement whether or not the ZTE's Gigabit Phone will be commercially available or not.
According to androidheadlines, ZTE Gigabit Phone comes in an ordinary black case body design, hinting at the fact that ZTE most likely only focused on the specs needed to achieve Gigabit download speeds. ZTE's Gigabit Phone might be a prototype for a future Smartphone that worth waiting. Further information will be revealed as ZTE gives more updates.
