Latest Xiaomi MIUI 8.2 Stable ROM Now Available for Xiaomi Mi Mix and Mi Note 2, Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3 Getting Update Next
Charles LimXiaomi has now added some new models to the list of phones that will be getting the latest stable version of their MIUI interface, MIUI version 8.2. The list of phones that will be getting the new MIUI 8.2 ROM update will include the company's latest flagship smartphones, namely the Xiaomi Mi Mix and the Xiaomi Mi Note 2.
The update itself was made available just a couple of days ago and it has become available for a number of Xiaomi devices already. As it stands the latest software update for the company's popular launcher is already out for several models, including 11 models in the Xiaomi Mi family and seven models in the Xiaomi Redmi line-up.
The latest update for Xiaomi's MIUI launcher mostly contains bug fixes for several problems reported for the interface. However, the MIUI 8.2 does include a number of subtle tweaks to the user interface that are aimed at improving the overall experience for its users.
According to Xiaomi Today, one of the biggest highlights of the new launcher version is the addition of the new smart desktop assistant, which will give users additional intelligent services. Controls for automated tasks have also been added, which gives users full control over its functions.
The update also brings with it some new ringtones, system sounds, and Home screen settings. Several toggles within the user interface have also been adjusted, including toggles within the notification screen.
The overall layout of the MIUI 8.2 has also been improved, which now shows a cleaner overall look. Xiaomi also announced that the MIUI 8.2 will be coming next for the Xiaomi Mi 5, but no release window has yet been announced. The company also plans to bring the new update to the Xiaomi Mi 5S, the Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, and six other models very soon.
