Sad news from the world of "Pokemon Go" just came in today. A "Pokemon Go" player died after suffering from a fatal heart attack when he caught an extremely rare Pokemon.

"Pokemon Go" is a stimulating approach to augmented reality as it entails a player to go out and catch a Pokemon. The game is a fun activity where players run or walk just to catch those pocket monsters. The players of this phenomenal game are of varying ages. There are those who are very young and those who are way past the playing stage. One active "Pokemon Go" player recently passed away when after catching the very rare Pokemon Lapras, suffered from heart attack.

Liang Weiming, was out looking for Pokemon at the Marina Bay Sands resort in Singapore. Out of nowhere, a Lapras suddenly popped out. Weiming managed to corner and get a grip of the rare pocket monster. The event that followed was devastating as the extreme excitement caused him to suffer a heart attack, says The Malay Mail Online.

The 67- year-old "Pokemon Go" player was a passionate one, in fact, he had caught 200 creatures during his time playing the game. His game account was on level 28 at the time of his death. In "Pokemon Go," any player knows that it is a hard level to attain and involves extensive gameplay experience.

Wccftech reported that Liang was brought to the adjacent Singapore General Hospital, right after he suffered the heart attack. Unfortunately, according to his wife, he passed away soon after arriving in spite of the best efforts of the doctors to revive him. Liang had a medical history of heart disease and cardiac-related issues. Most likely, the excitement prompted a negative response from his heart. It is indeed a sad day as the "Pokemon Go" world lost a diehard player.

The news was first published in a Singapore Chinese-language newspaper, Lianhe Wanbao. The incident took place on March 5, 2017
