LG G6 VS. Google Pixel XL Camera: Day Light, Low Light, Camera Quality

The LG G6 smartphone has a dual camera set up and impressive photography claims while Google Pixel XL is the absolute fan-favorite in terms of camera. How will the new LG G6 fare the Google Pixel XL in terms of daylight shots, low light shots, and camera quality?

Both the LG G6 and Pixel XL are doing things a bit differently from the usual. The LG G6 is using a 13-megapixel camera sensor with unexpectedly small 1.12-micron pixels. It has a traditional combination of a wide f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization and a wide-angle camera, according to a report by PocketLint. The Google Pixel XL, on the other hand, eschews of image stabilization for a 12MP sensor that has a massive 1.55-micron pixels and relies on powerful software processing.

During daylight, the LG G6 takes bright, well balanced, and colorful photos that dull the Pixel XL's more true-to-life shots by comparison. The Google Pixel XL provides consistency and enhanced sharpness when you take a closer at its photos. At night, the previously low light champ Google Pixel XL is outperformed by the new player LG G6 dramatically as it matched the Pixel XL's performance, says Android Central.

Generally, the upcoming LG G6 appeared to take brighter images that look more saturated. The Pixel XL, by comparison, takes dimmer images. If we are to compare the overall photos, Google Pixel XL took warmer photos. However, it is not noticeable visible at full resolution, but Google Pixel XL captured finer details and showed sharper photo edges.

Moreover, the Google Pixel XL takes impressive photos in every situation. In addition, it has HDR+ processing, which continuously evolves is its secret weapon that can really blow your mind with the shots it produced. On the other hand, the LG G6 on average offers the same image quality, though, along with wide-ranging manual controls for the photography geeks out there. Moreover, it has indeed a distinct and wide-angle secondary camera that LG claims almost half of users prefer.
