Last week, Motorola took the center stage during its event at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2017 to unveil the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus in Barcelona. The Moto G5 is now been listed for pre-order in Germany and is scheduled to hit the store shelves in India on March 15.

The Moto G5 and its Plus variant are slated to arrive in Russia in April 2017. Meanwhile, European consumers will already be able to get their hands on the G5.

Three retailers including Belsimpel, Mobiel, and GSMwijzer in the Netherlands have the Moto G5 in stock and ready to be shipped for 199 Euros. The unlocked and SIM-free handset is the same consumers were able to pre-order in Germany. According to Dutch website, GSMHelpdesk.nl (via GSM Arena), this could be the official recommended retail price for the Eurozone.

This implies the Moto G5 Plus could come bearing a €289 (about $309) price tag when it hits the store shelves in any country, including the Netherlands, which uses Euro as their currency, with expected availability in April. Moreover, the aforesaid retailers are giving consumers the choice to buy the Moto G5 with a carrier contract, meaning, they will need to shell out comparatively less money for the smartphone upfront.

Moto G5 & Moto G5 Plus Release Date In India

General availability of the G5 will most likely kick off in India on March 15; however, the device will not launch in the U.S. The Moto G5 Plus, on the other hand, will be heading towards Stateside with a $229 price tag and compatibility with four leading carriers, Android Authority reported.

In India, the Moto G5 Plus will be available exclusively on Flipkart and the e-commerce site has already started teasing Moto fans on Social media.

Both smartphones have undergone radical overhauls in terms of design, with a metal chassis and a ring-shaped camera frame at the rear. The Moto G5 will be sporting a 5-inch full-HD display. Under the hood, the G5 packs a powerful 1.4GHz octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

The Moto G5 Plus, on the other hand, features a 5.2-inch full-HD display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. A 2GHz octa-core processor will be firing up the G5 Plus.
