The highly anticipated AMD Ryzen 5 series CPUs are officially set to release on April 11. Among the most awaited models included in this series are the 6 Core Ryzen 5 1600X, 4 Core Ryzen 5 1500X.

AMD Ryzen 5 range of processors is designed to cater to the conventional market. This set of CPUs has been highly anticipated by the tech enthusiasts specifically those in PC Gaming, where several benchmarks have produced outstanding results.

The AMD Ryzen 5 series processors are consists of various six cores as well as four cores with SMT enabled. The chips will be priced between $169 for the 4-core US based model. While the 6 core US based model will be available at approximately $249. This series will debut just days after the company launched the AMD Ryzen 7 enthusiast chips, for users who prefer high-performance chips.

The AMD Ryzen 5 series processors are best for those who would like to build their own PC from the ground up but does not want to spend much. Although the Ryzen 5 series are not as great as that of the Ryzen 7 series, they can still provide outstanding performance and maximum efficiency.

It is the competitor of Intel Core i5 7600X. This model can be purchased at $249. Other models included in the Ryzen 5 series are PRO 1600, 1500, PRO 1500, 1400X, PRO 1400, 1300, and the PRO 1300.

Meanwhile, for the 4-core 8-thread CPU, the most popular is the Ryzen 1500X, which according to Wccftech is the fastest. This model has a clock speed base of 3.5 GHz and has a 3.7 GHz boost. It is the competitor of Intel Core i5 7600X.
