OnePlus previously announced a new collaborative Colette version of their flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 3T Colette Edition. However, the device was not really readily available to consumers as any interested buyer would have to live or travel to Paris to get one. The OnePlus 3T Colette Edition was only available in one store in Paris and there were only 250 units that were built.

Fortunately, OnePlus was able to notice the hype with the OnePlus 3T Colette Edition's matte black finish, which is why the company has now launched a commercially available version with the same matte black finish. According to Android Police, the third color variant called the OnePlus 3T Midnight Black edition will be made available more readily and will be added to the already available colors for the flagship, namely Gunmetal and Soft Gold.

The OnePlus 3T Midnight Black edition will still be the same internally as its previously released siblings, with the exception that it will only be available in its top spec variation. The OnePlus 3T Midnight Black edition will only be available with 128 GB of internal storage and will be priced at $479, the same price as the currently available upgraded OnePlus 3T model.

The OnePlus 3T Midnight Black edition actually looks exactly the same as the OnePlus 3T Colette Edition, minus the Colette branding on the back side of the device. The stealthy matte black coating is placed on top of the device's aluminum body and would be perfect for those looking for a discrete, but powerful Android device.

OnePlus also announced that they will be rolling out the first batch of OnePlus 3T Midnight Black edition tomorrow, March 24. The phone can be purchased exclusively through the online retailer HBX, however, the device is expected to also be available on the OnePlus website at some point in time.
