Smartphone enthusiasts, rejoice! The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will be up for pre-order on Mi.com starting Friday, March 31.

In the bid to simplify the process of purchasing of its smartphones for the Indian buyers, Xiaomi has introduced an online pre-order option. This marks the first time the company is holding a pre-order system on its official website i.e. Mi.com.

Until now, the Beijing-based handset maker has sold its phones only via flash sales. With the advent of this online pre-order option, buyers will no longer have to wait with bated breath for the next flash sale to get their hands on their favorite Xiaomi smartphone.

Despite now offering an online pre-order option, Xiaomi will not be ditching its flash sale model just yet. By adding the convenience of an online pre-order, Xiaomi plans to put a lid on the demand-supply issue it has been facing for quite a long time, according to Digit.

The pre-order for the Redmi Note 4 kicks off March 31 at 12 pm, according to the company's official website. Once the pre-order is done, Xiaomi will be delivering the handset within five days.

It's worth noting that Xiaomi does not offer a COD (cash on delivery) for pre-orders; however, there's an option to cancel the order before the Redmi Note 4 is shipped. Moreover, a consumer can only order one smartphone at a time, IndiaToday reported.

Using its flash sales model, Xiaomi has surpassed the 1 million sales mark in India. The Redmi Note 4's precursor, the Redmi Note 3 is probably one of the best devices Xiaomi has launched in the country. The Chinese tech firm took the wraps off the Redmi Note 4 in January 2017 in India.

A powerful 2.0 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor fires up the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, which also packs an Adreno 506 GPU. Moreover, the Dual-SIM device runs on the older Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box with the latest MIUI 8 atop.
