Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro Launched In India Bearing A Price Tag Of About $130; See Specs & Other Details [VIDEO]

Samsung officially unveiled its Galaxy J3 Pro smartphone last year and the device has been sold exclusively in China until now; however, Indian smartphone enthusiasts will finally be able to get their hands on the latest smartphone in Galaxy J lineup.

Samsung Galaxy J3 Price & Availability

The Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro is up for grabs exclusively via Paytm app and Paytm Mall website. The new Galaxy S smartphone carries an economical price tag of INR 8,490 (about $130). The advantageously priced phone debuted in China back in June 2016. The J3 Pro comes in Black, White, and Gold color options.

Following in the footsteps of other J-series Samsung smartphones, the Galaxy J3 Pro too features a frame with a metal-esque finish. It sports Samsung's signature home button seen on nearly all Galaxy smartphones. Furthermore, it features the S bike mode, with handsfree functions for bikers, Gadgets 360 reported.

Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro Specifications & Features

The Galaxy J3 Pro sports a 5-inch 720p Super AMOLED screen and an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and LED Flash along with a 5MP front shooter. Under the hood, it packs a 1.5 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 128GB using a micro-SD card.

The Galaxy J3 Pro is Dual-SIM smartphone that runs on an older Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. In terms of connectivity, the J3 Pro supports 4G LTE and it is backed by a robust 2,600mAh battery. The phone's dimensions are 142.3 x 71 x 7.9mm and it weighs in at 138g.

This is the first time Samsung will be launching an online exclusive device in the form of Galaxy J3 Pro, on Paytm Mall, Mr. Sandeep Singh Arora, Vice President, Online Business, Samsung India said at the launch. The Galaxy J3 Pro packs powerful performance, exceptional display and also has a slew of consumer-focused features that are developed at the company's Inda-based R&D centers. With this launch, Paytm Mall consumers will be able to get hold of India's largest selling range i.e. Galaxy J Series, Mr. Arora said in a press statement (via Samsung Newsroom).

Aside from the advantageous S bike mode, the Galaxy J3 Pro comes pre-loaded with a bunch of other regular J-series 'Make for India' features such as UDS (Ultra Data Saving), which helps consumers save about 50% mobile data cost.
