Google's anticipated partnership with LG is starting to take its first step. The search giant is reportedly initiating something fresh and essential for the Google Pixel.

Teaming with LG, Google Pixel is expected to bear the flexible OLED display panels with curved edges. This news first surfaced from South Korea and there is a huge possibility for Google Pixel 2 to have the famous OLED display. Google is said to be intense in attaining the new and radical design.

Yonhap News Agency, a South Korean news outlet, has published first-hand news regarding the Google Pixel 2. According to the report, the Mountain View-based company offered LG a big sum of money in exchange for the company's work to ramp up their OLED display production. Google aims to secure a stable supply of the flexible OLED display panels and they intend this deal for Pixel smartphone's next series. Forbes reportedly revealed the amount of this deal, it was said that Google paid LG almost one trillion Korean Won, if converted to dollars it is $800 million.

Though this could be a deal perceived to push through, still the South Korean company has not accepted yet this offer from Google, but the former is said to be interested in this proposal. There were also speculations that the investment could even get higher when the two companies will formally close the deal. As of the moment, the official announcement from both companies is expected to be out in the following days, reported Tech Radar.

In the recently concluded Mobile World Congress, the hardware chief of Google, Rick Osterloh confirmed the plan they have been working for Google Pixel 2's next series and the news about this came unsurprisingly, says Daily Mail. Osterloh also added that the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 are presently lined up for this year's release in the mobile market and he also assured that next series of Pixel smartphones intends to continue their goal in satisfying the premium segment.

Talking about the Google Pixel 2's specs and features, it will have a 16MP main camera and an 8MP front camera. In addition to the camera feature is its virtual reality technology. The upcoming device will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 mobile processor, this is the same chip that the latest Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus have. For now, this is the only details that came out about the anticipated Google Pixel 2.

Meanwhile, the Taiwan-based company, HTC is commissioned by Google for the production of Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2. The two companies have a two-year contract for the manufacturing of the next Google Pixel series.
