ZTE Axon 7 Update Introduces Night Mode, Support For microSD Card & More [VIDEO]

ZTE upgraded its premium Axon 7 smartphone by introducing the Axon 7s and the Axon 7 Max, The Chinese handset maker emphasizes on security features of the recently announced Axon 7s and Axon 7 Max smartphones, which boasts "systematic integration of intelligent encryption."

This shred of information was shared by ZTE via a post on the company's official Chinese website (via Gadgets 360). While the Axon 7s packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, the ZTE Axon 7 Max is backed by a robust 4100mAh non-removable battery. Although the company kept details about the aforesaid devices under wraps, it shared an image of the Axon 7s giving smartphone enthusiasts a brief glimpse of what could be in the offing.

The image showed the speaker grille placed above the display alongside the front-facing camera. ZTE has also hinted at the real-time voice to text translation with about 23 language support as well as several other smart voice functions.

ZTE Axon 7 New Updates

Meanwhile, ZTE has started rolling out updates for its Axon 7 (A2017U) smartphone. The said update adds the latest build, B25, that comprise ample changes, including new features, enhancements, bug fixes and optimizations, GSM Arena reported.

The update for ZTE Axon 7 also adds support for large 256GB microSD cards in order to pave the way for even more storage space, but that's not all! ZTE debuted a setting that lets users of the Axon 7 smartphone enable "Night Mode."

Aside from that, the recently rolled out update lets the ZTE Axon 7 users disable various stock apps that come pre-installed on the handset. Moreover, the improvements included in the update also feature a slew of optimizations such as "Do Not Disturb" function, device stability and security intensification, according to PhoneArena.

 A bunch of other miscellaneous performance enhancements and fixes (for Wi-Fi Calling issues) have been brought about as well. The update has already begun to roll out in the US; however, it is expected to take some more time to reach all ZTE Axon 7 units.
