WhatsApp Business is used by many big companies to make it easier for the customers to interact with the customer care support with ease and that too instantly. With WhatsApp Business, it is not possible to initiate interaction with the customers at first. The reason behind this is that WhatsApp does not want the business owners to spam their users with the help of this account. Without this restriction, WhatsApp would also need a spam filter and therefore the best case scenario is to avoid this for the time being. However, there is one way of getting in touch with the customers first and that is through the WhatsApp Business template messages. It is because, unlike spam messages, these are highly structured business messages. With the help of WhatsApp message templates, you can send notifications to the customers only if they have opted for it. Such message templates can be used to remind the customer of an appointment, delivery information, payment updates and issue resolution.

Further, Quick Reply can be added which allows the users to reply to questions that can be answered with options like yes, no or maybe.

Different Types Of WhatsApp Business Templates Messages

The most common type of WhatsApp Business template message used by different businesses includes alert updates which notify the users with updates of their ordered product and delivery status. Also, you can include appointment updates if a user has booked an appointment with confirmation of the appointment and also, a reminder for customers too. The auto-reply template comes in handy when a customer tries to contact you beyond the business hours with a gentle message telling that you are not currently available along with the information about the business hours.

Other templates include issue resolution to keep the customer in the loop with the status of the issue and whether it has been resolved or not. The payment update template is mostly used when a customer makes an online payment and you need to notify them that you have received the payment. The template further can be used for refund and reimbursement too. Companies like Nykaa use WhatsApp Business to provide the customers with shipping updates which drastically reduces the load on the customer care service with the information being provided handily to the customers.
