Word got out that WhatsApp let users pin messages at the top of their chats for over a month.

Meta, the company that owns WhatsApp, said this new feature was starting to show up for users even though not everybody will see it immediately.

To use it, you tap and hold on to a message for a second and pick "Pin." It'll take a week to start, but you can change it to one day or after a month. Any message - text, pictures, polls - can be pinned in place. Also, if you're an admin in a group, you can make pins only visible to other admins.

This feature would save lots of time for those tired of messy group conversations. Whether talking on iMessage or regular texts, planning stuff together is a pain when you get random messages all over the chat. Being able to pin messages on every app would be awesome.

WhatsApp is trying hard to get more people in the US to use their app. So they keep making it better with stuff like voice messages that disappear and secret chats.

Lately, iPhone users have been able to share high-quality pics and videos, too. As they try spreading WhatsApp everywhere, these changes help make talking easier and keep stuff private for anyone who uses it.

To pin a message on WhatsApp, hold down the message within a chat. On iOS, tap "More" and then select "Pin." For Android, access the three-dotted menu and choose "Pin."

Unpinning is just as easy-long-press the pinned message and select "Unpin." Additionally, WhatsApp now supports View Once voice messages and displays call connection health on iOS, ensuring stable connectivity.

Other Recent New Updates on WhatsApp

WhatsApp's fresh upgrades brings a shift in media sharing: now, you can send photos and videos that keep their high quality. The days of sending quality-compromised pictures are over, despite past tweaks back in August.

With this new feature, uncompressed files retain their quality, and, in one click, users can send them up to full size.

Flexibility marks this change, wherein users can share quick-glance thumbnails or opt for full files with the "+" button. The update rolls out slowly, and it might take weeks to hit all users. For those on Android, the timing of this update drop is still up in the air.

Updates from WhatsApp aim at a better user feel. This big move scraps the old need for file changes into PDFs or DOCs when you want clear shares. It follows a hot season boost that brings HD images your way. Also new: an option to lock chats with passcodes, face ID, fingerprints, or unique codes-a leap for privacy tucked away in "Locked Chats.

With each step forward in sharing ease and chat safety, WhatsApp focuses on what users crave. While Android users wait on more news of their release timeslot (update), they can look ahead to smooth sailing and tight locks on their chats.
