Rumors Swirl: iPhone 17 Pro Max's 48MP Telephoto Camera

Apple has plans to introduce upgraded telephoto cameras to future iPhone models, and according to an analyst, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will sport a 48MP sensor, up from the 12MP tetraprism unit on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

In addition to capturing zoomed images at a higher resolution, the report stated that the upgraded sensor will be designed to interact with the Apple Vision Pro, which is slated to launch in early 2024.

iPhone 17 Pro Max Upgrade

Jeff Pu from Haitong suggests that the next iPhone Pro Max camera will get a massive upgrade. The new phone in 2025 may have a perfect 48-megapixel camera made by Largan. This better camera would work great with the new Apple Vision VR headset.

No one knows yet how the camera will interact with the headset.

With this new camera, what you see with the Apple Vision will be very clear.

Rumors also say Apple may make special WiFi chips for the following Pro phones. This could mean they don't need help from Broadcom as much. But these are just guesses, not things we know for sure. If true, the new phones would take amazing photos and connect much better than phones now.

Apple is working on that for their following flagship models.

The speculated debut of WiFi 7 in the iPhone 17 Pro Max promises quicker wireless speeds and less lag, letting smooth interaction with the Apple Vision Pro for stuff like watching shows and movies.

iPhone 17 ProMax is the first flagship to have a 48MP telephoto lens.

Rumors also go around about a potential 10x four-sided lens in a future iPhone, although it's unclear if it's planned for the iPhone Seventeen Pro Max.

Stories suggested that Apple's supply chain shift from LG Innotek to ICT, a Luxshare Precision subsidiary, hinting at Apple's serious aim to debut lossless zoom in their top-tier iPhones. These developments anticipate more excitement among users waiting for improved hardware in upcoming releases.
