TikTok General Manager in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, has been loosened from his obligations on account of allegations of supporting a toxic workplace culture. The social media platform is probing the restraint of Tobias Henning as several women who work there alleged him of unfair treatment.

The management of TikTok recently announced Henning's departure from the company's headquarters in Germany, after disclosing that he had been suspended from his office. As sources within the company who requested their anonymity responded, there were reported issues around Henning's conduct recently that senior management had been informed of such complaints before.

A Delegated Misogyny and Mistreated Women

Female employees from team Berlin narrated on many occasions when Henning's behavior was rather odd, being sometimes unstable in the way he interacted with colleagues, which eventually left them feeling down. Besides this, it is said that Henning's fabricated stories were publicized in a sometimes derogatory fashion meant to damage an employee's performance.

A woman who left the office two years ago as Henning's superior and with whom she worked until now, expressed her opinion that gender-related misbehavior and respect were lacking. She stated even more of sexually pressing behavior of Henning and his rude words towards her.

The complaint shed light on a purported failure by TikTok's human resources department to adequately address concerns raised by employees. It alleges that the department not only dismissed complaints but also attempted to silence the accusers.

A working woman in TikTok Germany who was pregnant last summer, reported that Henning had put a lot of pressure on her by applying intense pressure during the meeting, which made her even more worried about her pregnancy. She pointed out Henning's actions as a part of those matters that has the potential to cause "severe psychological pressure" and also reminded her about the health of her unborn child.

International Allegations of Discrimination and Legal Action

The suspicion is particularly pressing when you also take into account other allegations of sexism that have been hurled at TikTok.

Katie Riccio Puris, the former marketing specialist at the New York offices of TikTok, laid claim to discrimination to the Chinese-owned ByteDance company, which was documented earlier in the year. Puris claims that the female workers were treated as low and she was terminated from the organization for behaving against the norms of the gender roles.

Puris asserted that she was let go after an inappropriate sex-harassing situation with an executive from the advertising agency she alleges was unnecessarily dismissed by the company. The case illustrates that such errors represent a certain trend within the whole system.

The fact that TikTok is being investigated on the issue of Henning's wrongdoings puts the latter on the crossroads as it faces growing demands to deal with the claims of brutality and discrimination within the organization. The outcome of this study could probably be an extremely important factor in the company's reputation concerning the workplace problems.
