Pokémon GO players are probably excited to bend spoons and control minds during the Psychic Spectacular event. For the first time, we're about to witness the lustrous arrival of Hatenna and its family and of course, Dynamax Beldum.
Since 2018, this event has been all about adding new Psychic-type Pokémon. In past years, trainers met Shiny Drowzee and three more Psychic types. This year could introduce even stronger Pokémon to expand collections.
Expanding the Psychic-type Roster
Psychic-type Pokémon are hard to beat, even though they only have two major weaknesses. These creatures stand out in battles against Dragon- and Fairy-types.
Over the years, strong Pokémon like Mewtwo, Hoopa, and Lunala entered Pokémon GO. Now, with this event starting soon, players will see Hatenna, its evolutions, and Dynamax Beldum added to the roster.
Psychic Spectacular: Schedule and Main Points
According to GameRant, Psychic Spectacular runs from Sept. 18 at 10 AM to Sept. 22 at 8 PM (local time). Hatenna will appear in the wild, through 7 km eggs, or as a prize for finishing certain research tasks. Players need 23 candies to evolve Hatenna into Hattrem and another 100 candies to turn Hattrem into Hatterene.
Dynamax Beldum will also be available in three-star Max Battles during the event. Trainers could even encounter a rare Shiny Dynamax Beldum. How lucky do you feel at this moment?
In addition, PoGO players can have the chance to catch Dynamax Beldum in three-star Max Battles. There's even an opportunity for lucky players to encounter a Shiny Dynamax Beldum during the event.

Special Bonuses and Paid Research Tasks
To make the Psychic Spectacular even more exciting, players will receive double Stardust for catching Pokémon during the event. Moreover, your Nice Throws will also earn you an extra Candy. For those who are level 31 and above, a Candy XL could be the best gift for you.
A paid timed research task will be available for $2 USD, rewarding players with encounters with Hatenna and 15,000 XP. This research task offers a unique opportunity for players to level up faster while collecting new Pokémon.
The Introduction of Dynamax in Pokémon GO
The Psychic Spectacular event is no wonder one of the best events this month in the PoGO universe. Kicking off the Max Out season, Niantic is introducing Dynamax forms to the game through the GO Out event, which runs from Sept. 10-15.
During this period, Dynamax Pokémon and Max Battles will make their debut. The GO Big event offers players doubled XP from winning Max Battles and spinning PokéStops. It also adds new steps to the Galar Calling Special Research and completes the final step of the To The Max! research, making the game even more dynamic.
Field Research Tasks and Dynamax Targets
During the GO Big event, players can participate in various Field Research tasks for rewards. According to Polygon, these tasks include:
- Collect 100 Max Particles (Reward: 500 Stardust, 2 Revives, or 2 Super Potions)
- Collect 400 Max Particles (Reward: Skwovet or Wooloo encounter)
- Win a Max Battle (Reward: Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle encounter)
Dynamax Pokémon such as Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Skwovet, and Wooloo will appear in Max Battles.
