Ubisoft, it seems, is also geared up for the holiday season and has made its intentions pretty clear by sending out more goodies for its latest release ‘Assassin’s Creed 3’. Per reports, the company has released a new patch for ‘Assassin’s Creed 3,’ which fixes several gameplay issues.
Ubisofts averred that the new update resolves numerous glitches with missions, side quests, and the game's multiplayer component. The company mentioned that it has included “the details of our next Assassin's Creed III holiday patch. If your console is connected to the internet at the time of release, you will receive a prompt to inform you that a title update is available to download.”
Although some may feel that the patch has arrived a bit late since the game was released last month, but taking into account the amount of things fixed, fans who are still hooked to the game, and are still finding immense joy from it, will find the patch highly beneficial.
The holiday patch is available worldwide on all platforms, and major issues fixed by the patch per a Polygon report “include difficulty finding some Liberation missions or completing the ‘Encyclopedia of the Common Man’ side quest, and the potential for Connor's second pistol to up and vanish.”
The new patch will now see off certain problems as a part of its global fixes (in single player mode) like the infamous horse glitch, inventory messages that kept being displayed after every reload if the player had completed some missions, a bug where the second equipped pistol could disappear after a loading, forced subtitles being displayed for off-camera voices like some tutorials and end of sequence transitions, and also a bug where the player could fall through the map if he went through a city gate on horseback while in conflict.
Improvements to side quests include Boston Brawlers: clearer message after beating all ex-champions, stating that the player needs to go back to Boston, New York Liberation Missions: where it fixes a few cases where the player could get to the event's icon but nothing would happen, Liberation Missions: adding unfogging of the map when the player gets near a liberation event, and more.
