As RIM readies for its BlackBerry 10 press event scheduled for Jan. 30, most Canadian carriers are hopping on to the BlackBerry 10 pre-registration bandwagon.
Last week, carrier Bell had opened up pre-registration for the BlackBerry 10 devices, TELUS started the pre-registrations on Jan. 7, and now Virgin Mobile has followed suit.
Like Bell, Virgin Mobile too is holding a contest, whereby those who register stand a chance to win a BlackBerry 10 device.
"Sign up to learn when the re-invented BlackBerry® is available from Virgin Mobile + be entered for a chance to win one," notes Virgin Mobile.
To sign-up for alerts, users simply need to key in their e-mail address and they'll be put on the list. The contest from Virgin Mobile gives those who register a chance to win one out of four BlackBerry 10 smartphones that are up for grabs. Parent company Bell's BlackBerry promotion is similar to that of Virgin, except that it gives you the chance to win one of five BlackBerry 10 devices between Jan 4. to Jan. 30.
The BlackBerry smartphone that is up for grabs is likely the all-touch BlackBerry Z10. The terms and conditions of the contest disclose that the "approximate value of all prizes is $2,800."
The BlackBerry 10 pre-registration contest will run from Jan. 8 to Jan. 29 and is open to residents of Canada who are eligible. To view the contest rules click here.
