Have you been waiting for the new 13-inch Retina MacBook Pros? Putting an end to the long wait, Apple has updated its online storefront, on Thursday, with a slew of refurbished 13-inch MacBook Pro models with Retina display.
Apple has added the smaller-screen laptops to its online store with comparable price cuts just weeks after the tech-giant brought refurbished Retina display models of its 15-inch MacBook Pro to the store.
The refurbished store currently offers three refurbished 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display configurations. Hardcore iDevice fans can fetch the base model that features 2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB RAM and a 500GB HDD for $1,019, which comes with a 15 percent price cut (save up to $180).
The mid-range model is offered at $1,439 with a 15 percent savings equaling $260. This version comes with the 2.5 GHz Core i5 processor with 8GB of memory and a 128GB of SSD storage. The 2.5 GHz Core i5 model with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM is the top configuration and the sticker price offers a 15 percent reduction saving up to $300.
The refurbished models do not offer an upgrade option for users meaning you can avail the models only with third-generation Core i5 CPUs at 2.5GHz and 8GB of RAM. Should you opt for the new models, you have the option of upgrading the CPU, boosting your RAM and most importantly, will be able to pick larger SSDs for the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina.
Buying a refurbished Apple product, you know you are not the first one to handle the device. However, the refurbished device offers the same look and feel of any other new Apple product because the company put the products through a meticulous process to ensure that they meet the Apple standards.
Being the smallest Apple laptop with a Retina Display, the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina can last for seven hours off a single charge according to the company claims, which is notably the same battery life of other Apple devices such as 13-inch MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro without Retina.
