Samsung Galaxy Note 2, which has been one of the most popular smartphones of 2012, seems to get a bit of a push in 2013 with retailers offering deals at reduced prices.
Usually, carriers and retailers do not reduce the price of any gadget if it's in high demand. The Galaxy Note 2 is still one of the most popular smartphones around, but retailers like Amazon and Best Buy have reduced the prices of the handset in a bid to attract more customers.
Recent reports indicated that Amazon is offering the 16GB Verizon version of Galaxy Note 2 for $199.99 on a two-year contract or eligible upgrade, making it a bit more affordable for potential customers. Now, Best Buy is offering the T-Mobile 16GB version of the phone at $229 on a two-year contract or eligible upgrades. Best Buy is also offering the handset in both Marble White and Titanium Gray colors.
U.S. carriers AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon sell the Galaxy Note 2 for $299.99, and T-Mobile offers the handset at a whopping $369.99 on a two-year contract. Additionally, Wirefly also has the Verizon variant of the Galaxy Note 2 up for grabs for $199.99; however, the smartphone is not available in white but only in gray.
The 5.5-inch Galaxy Note 2 has won over hearts of many smartphone enthusiasts looking for a larger smartphone. Rumors of its successor - the next-generation Galaxy Note 3 - have been circling the smartphone arena for a while now and the device is speculated to make its appearance by the second half of this year. Is it possible that the news of the upcoming Galaxy Note 3 have had an impact of the demand of the Galaxy Note 2, prompting retailers to reduce the price?
The Galaxy Note 2 is one of the most powerful phablets in the market and the deal from Best Buy and Amazon are both equally attractive. Both the retailers did not mention if the deal on the Galaxy Note 2 is for a limited period. So, if you are planning to buy a Galaxy Note 2 then don't miss out on the current offers from Best Buy and Amazon.
