Good news for Samsung's Galaxy smartphone owners. Samsung has revealed the update schedule for its existing Android smartphones, including the Galaxy Note and Galaxy S2, which are slated to get the Android 4.1.2 software upgrade in March.
The other devices that are scheduled to get the software upgrade include the Galaxy Ace 2, which will receive the update a little later in April.
The new information has been disclosed on the official Samsung Ukraine Web site, and is likely applicable for unlocked handsets. Those who own a carrier branded Samsung smartphone may have to wait a little longer.
"Samsung Ukraine to update the Galaxy S II to Android 4.1.2 in March. This information comes from Samsung's own website. According to Samsung Ukraine the Galaxy S II will receive Android 4.1.2 in March. Not only the Galaxy S II will get Android 4.1.2 also the Galaxy Note will receive Android 4.1.2 in March. Of course some countries will receive the Android 4.1.2 update faster than others but it is good to know when Samsung starts the update," reported SamMobile.
Additionally, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus tablet is also included in the list of devices that will get the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean upgrade.
The complete list of Galaxy devices with their respective update dates are as follows:
