‘Mass Effect 3’ fans could be treated to brand new DLC in the next few weeks.
Per reports, a latest update from Bioware for the company’s popular and successful title ‘Mass Effect 3,’ apart from pushing out some minor bug fixes, has also provided clues about a brand new upcoming DLC set to arrive sometime soon.
The new DLC, apparently known as the Reckoning DLC, is said to be coming soon for the multiplayer component of ‘Mass Effect 3,’ and if the new details turn out to be true, it could be something massive for all the fans looking forward to a new DLC for the game.
The information was revealed by Clevernoob forum user TSA_383, who has been known as a pretty reliable source of leaks in the past. The DLC is said to have co-op missions that are related to story, because according to the newly leaked files, these co-op missions will take the player’s single player stats into account, alongside the paragon/renegade meter, the progress in the story, the levels completed, the player’s reputation and such.
"The day of reckoning is nigh! The Reckoning Multiplayer Expansion brings six new never before seen co-op story missions to the game and new co-op gameplay modes. It provides four new maps to conquer and hazard variations of the Earth maps,” the official Reddit post states.
“It also enables reinforcement packs that offer new kits for the salarians, krogans, humans and volus. In-game reinforcement packs now include three new weapons (Chakram Launcher, Blood Pack Punisher and Adas Anti-Synthetic Rifle)."
It is to be noted that the weapons mentioned above are recent additions to the single-player campaign of the game which have been expected to be introduced to multiplayer segment of the game as well, and that’s what TSA_383 found in his/her exploits as well.
Bioware, per a Eurogamer report, “has also previously spoken of its desire to update maps from previous multiplayer expansion Earth as Hazard versions (so named for their harder nature and environmental hazards, albeit with higher rewards).”
“A co-op multiplayer mode using single-player data suggests scenarios linked to the Mass Effect 3 story, which could let players replay the game's major battles with friends.”
