Canadian carrier Fido is offering the latest and one of the most popular smartphones, the Nexus 4, for $100 on a two-year contract.
The addition of Nexus 4 to Fido's smartphone portfolio will enable the carrier to attract new customers. Unfortunately, customers looking to place an order on the carrier's online store will be disappointed as the smartphone is already out of stock.
Fido is offering the 16GB Nexus 4 for $100 on select two-year contract and for $429 on a pre-paid plan. Recently, Quebec-based Videotron also began offering the Nexus 4 for $149.95 on contract, whereas the unlocked version is priced at a steep $499.95 (16GB).
If compared to Fido and Videotron, customers can buy the unlocked version of the Nexus 4 directly from Google Play store (Canada) with a price tag of $309 (8GB) and $359 (16GB). However, availability on Google Play Store remains an issue.
The Nexus 4 has been on high-demand ever since its launch in November last year. Google has struggled to keep up with strong-demand of the smartphone leaving many customers disappointed globally.
The latest Google offering has caught the eyes of many smartphone enthusiasts with its top-end features and low price.
If you have been waiting for the Nexus 4 for a while now, will you go ahead and buy the handset at the inflated price offered by carriers or will you wait for stocks to arrive at Google Play store?
