LG has been in the news for quite some time with talks about the recently revealed LG Optimus G Pro, and now the device has managed to capture a lot of attention at the ongoing MWC event being held in Barcelona.
The device is just the next one in line from LG after the company enjoyed a sort of a comeback in the last few months. The Korean phone manufacturer has already taken some giant steps towards establishing itself as a top high-end Android manufacturer, and the biggest example of that is the availability problem related to the popular Google-branded Nexus 4, and proving to be a hit accordingly.
Moreover, the Optimus G has also impressed a host of customers with its top specs and stylish design, and now just months after unveiling the Optimus G, LG has just recently revealed the Optimus G Pro which is a faster, bigger device targeted at Samsung’s popular phablet Galaxy Note 2.
As far as the Optimus G Pro is concerned, the device, which was announced on Feb. 12, is an extraordinary smartphone, to say the least. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s newest processor and sports an amazing 5.5-inch full HD display.
The Optimus G Pro runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and includes 2GB of RAM with up to 32GB of expandable memory, as expected, via a microSD card that users can access from the back. Also, the device is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core processor from Qualcomm, and unlike the original Optimus Gs, where the user didn’t have the option to take out the device’s battery, the Pro has now arrived with a removable 3,140mAh battery.
“Like most high-end LG handsets, the Pro's screen was bright and extremely responsive. I also like how the display edges are similar to the Nexus 4, in that it contours down toward the bezel. It will be available only in white when it launches, and unfortunately, the unit won't ship with a stylus, which would enable a user to take full advantage of all that screen real estate,” CNET writes.
Here is the full list of specifications for the Optimus G Pro:
