LG Electronics is all set to unveil its next-generation smartphone, Optimus G Pro, on the first day of next month but before that can happen, persistent rumors have to be examined.
Even as the unveiling ceremony is set to reveal the features and market availability of the device, a recent leak deals with its availability on one of the four major carriers in the U.S.
According to a piece of information leaked by @evleaks, the LG Optimus G Pro is going to be available on AT&T's network.
The Twitter account of the leakster has a picture of the Optimus G Pro, showing it from both sides. The front of the phone looks like its international version with a home button but the back of the phone has something revealing: The back of the phone holds an AT&T branding just below its 13-megapixel camera.
The LG Optimus G Pro has already been launched in some parts of the world and the U.S. fans of this new smartphone may be able to see it in New York during LG's May 1 event.
This is not the first time the Optimus G Pro is in the news concerning its arrival on the AT&T network. Earlier this month Android Central had reported the device will be headed to AT&T and will be released on May 10.
LG launched the 5.5-inch 1920x1080 pixel Full HD Optimus G Pro during this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC). The device has already reached the Japanese and Korean markets and U.S. tech buffs are hopeful of getting a glimpse of the phone very soon.
The U.S. version of the smartphone is not expected to have any variation from its international counterpart, but there is the possibility of the company favoring one of its biggest markets for the new device.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm's quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz and supported by 2 GB of RAM. The internal memory of the Optimus G Pro is 32 GB and it also comes with a microSD slot that supports a card up to 32 GB.
It sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, and runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
