Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is one of the most successful smartphones from the Korean company, and the users of the device always want to keep it up-to-date.
As the Galaxy Note 2 is waiting for the latest OS version, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update, users on AT&T have got a software update, but the smartphone still stays with the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
According to a report from Android Central, the update file weighs 69 MB and brings a new radio and new kernel to the smartphone.
AT&T has not posted the change log, but we assume that the performance of the device must have really gone up after this update.
The new build UCAMC3 is available for the Galaxy Note 2 SGH-I317 over the air (OTA) and we suggest you to use WiFi connection in order to update your smartphone so you can save your costly mobile data.
This is the first software update after AT&T released the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean updated for the Galaxy Note 2 smartphone in January this year.
As Samsung has already the Galaxy S4 smartphone with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the day is not very far when the latest Jelly Bean update would make its way into Galaxy Note 2 devices.
There are already reports that the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean would arrive on the Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy S3 devices somewhere this month only.
However, it is not certain that how long AT&T and other U.S. carriers would take to roll out the firmware update.
According to a report from PC-Tablet, an insider of the website put the release date of the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean in the month of May.
The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean will bring a good number of changes for the Galaxy devices, including the all new and improved user interface. With the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, users of Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 devices will be able to experience and enjoy Galaxy S4-like features.
