Samsung has finally released its much rumored camera smartphone, the Galaxy S4 Zoom. With the launch of the handset, Samsung has tried to bring two of its best products together - the Galaxy Camera and the Galaxy S4 - for its customers. Although the device is not going to be as big as the Galaxy S4 smartphone, yet the features of the Galaxy S4 Zoom are going to be very similar to the Galaxy S4.
"The Samsung GALAXY S4 zoom represents yet another step forward in the way Samsung is working to enhance the lives of our customers around the world," said JK Shin, President and CEO, Head of IT & Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics. "As communication continues to become increasingly visual in nature, people wish to capture and share their moments in the highest quality possible, but often do not have the space or inclination to carry a dedicated camera for this purpose. The Galaxy S4 zoom changes this forever, combining the industry leading functionality and connectivity of the Galaxy S4 with the high quality photographic experience you'd expect from a compact camera. The result is truly the best of both worlds, without compromise."
The Galaxy S4 Zoom is going to come with a 4.3 inch qHD 960 pixel Super AMOLED display. The device will be powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz processor and supported by 1.5 GB of RAM.
As the camera of the device is going to be its USP, the Galaxy S4 Zoom is going to come with a mammoth 16 megapixel rear-facing camera with a zooming capacity of 10x. There will also be a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera for video chat.
The Galaxy S4 Zoom will also have a first-of-its-kind feature that will allow the users to take pictures while they are on a call and send those In-Call photos via MMS automatically to the person they are chatting with. This will happen when you give a twist to the Galaxy S4 Zoom's 'Zoom Ring'. The Zoom Ring also allows you to quickly launch the camera options without having to reach them via your display and applications section.
The Galaxy S4 Zoom will also come preloaded with many camera modes that will help you take good and sharp pictures, without spending much time to make the camera settings right for the lighting situation.
The handset is going to run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean layered with Samsung's own Touchwiz user interface out of the box.
